Yesterday I was thinking I may have developed a "
thing"
for Eugene.. now I'm pretty sure I have! Darn it, why does the entire cast and all associated have to be SO ATTRACTIVE!

Dear Eugene,
If you asked me to fiddle with your faucet in an elevator, I wouldn't say no.
Love, Jess.

Eugene Mirman Recording New Album, Publishing Book
Absurd and deadpan stand-up comic Eugene Mirman will record his next comedy album, the follow-up to 2006's En Garde, Society!, at Chicago's Lakeshore Theater on November 7 and 8. The record has no title yet, but like the last one, it will come out on Sub Pop.
Kumail Nanjiani and Larry Murphy will open both of Mirman's Chicago shows. Mirman also has an appearance tonight, November 5, at 92YTribeca in NYC.
Other than those shows, Mirman's post-Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival schedule is pretty free, except for one notable exception. On February 10, Harper Collins will publish Mirman's "
outlandish self-help guide to modern life"
(per a press release), The Will to Whatevs.
The Will to Whatevs tackles pretty much all subjects, including school, work, sex, religion, death, socialization, and locker room rules.
Here's Mirman's "
Extra Introduction!"
to the book (not to be confused with the "
Introduction"
or the "
More Extra Introduction!"
):
"
In this book I will teach you, based on stuff I have either made up, observed, or overheard, how to live the life you want-the life you Will. Obviously, if your name is Will and you are slow, this book will be confusing/upsetting. Be careful. Thanks."

That is going to be good! Reminds me a bit of John Hodgman's (Mac guy, Daily Show, and David Armstrong from the Bowie episode) book 'The Areas of my Expertise', which is full of random history and things he made up. It's got hobo rebellions and stuff.
