2010 European Tour Dates!!!
Sun Mar 07, 2010 6:08 pm
I don't think so, I haven't seen anything and I have been to all the ticket sites last night. (checking to see if there are any tickets left which I might add they all seem to be sold out now)gezyka wrote:Ah, ok so they didn't do that this time?Amily wrote:
Yeah, I think that set up really helped... more of their hardcore fans were able to get the best seats. Good on 'em for that.
I wonder why they didn't do that this year. ???

i *think* that means that a lot of people made new ebay accounts with the intention of bidding really high, but not paying.

Yep, that's what I think as well.
Vesna has sent me this page:

and I'm surprised about the low price tickets. Both offers are still available and I'm trying to get those two tickets in row D. I hope if not my sister then maybe Laura could help me out with this?
When I get the reply from the seller I'll PM her if necessary.

I feel sorry for them playing a gig in Manchester then going to Birmingham for one show and them back again to Manchester. And London right after Sweden...
12,500 seats " title="" border="0"/> " title="" border="0"/> " title="" border="0"/>
Next time they tour North America, I suggest them organising a gig in The Grand Canyon...

Wow, Wembley! They're so sweet to add more gigs.
It would have been a hilarious callback to the BBC Radio series if they had a gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

The great Conchords rip-off
Ticket touts are demanding up to £500 for a single seat to see Flight Of The Conchords’
UK dates.
The New Zealand folk parodist announced just seven UK dates on Friday, and shows sold out within minutes of going on sale. In fact, their Hammersmith Apollo shows became the fastest selling events at the venue so far this year.
But seats immediately appeared on resale sites such as Seatwave, Getmein and Viagogo with more than a 1500 per cent mark up their £30 face value.
The speed at which the tickets are being resold suggests they were bought for quick profit, rather than by fans who actually want to go to the gig. It means genuine enthusiasts will have to pay through the nose, while the comedians will see none of the inflated mark-ups.
One seller on Get Me In, owned by ticket giant Ticketmaster, is currently asking for £499 for a seat in the row F stalls at the Hammersmith Apollo. ‘
Processing fees’
are a whopping £87.90 on top of that.
Meanwhile, Seatwave is asking £349 for a seat to a gig at Birmingham’
s NIA, while Viagogo has seats for the Manchester Apollo gig at up to £248.
While there is no guarantee the sellers will get this price, auctions on eBay which started within hours of the dates being announced are already topping £75 a seat.
The Conchords have today announced two additional shows: Manchester Apollo on May 8 and Wembley Arena on May 25. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday 12 March –
but don’
t expect them to last long.

Have they said anything/have we heard anything about Nigel touring with them as well?
Has someone already brought this up?
Am I oblivious to most things? (Yes.)

I was just wondering this! I was thinking that he would be, considering how long the tour is getting with the new dates and all.
Will they officially say? Or will we just have to wait and be surprised?

We just kind of found out last year...as in he wasn't announced or anything.
Here's hoping for his fro-y goodness.
(ADD: Supposedly he was going to tour with them in 2008, but I think they didn't get his visa stuff sorted in time? so maybe that's promising!)

I just can't wait when under the Wembley Arena gig will be SOLD OUT and it's because of fans, not the touts . I remember watching a video with the Queen's gig there with lights and everything. I don't think the Conchords need all that show. They're more charismatic than Freddie Mercury. They are more than him and the lights and all the rest all together.
I so wish I could be there .
But I'm on the right way to get the tickets for Friday 14th in Glasgow .
