You don't like Jenny, Bus Driver's Song, or Bowie? ???
ADD: Or is it that you felt there wasn't enough balance? Like the peppier songs should have been spaced between them better?

Thanks for the recap cee66.
I don't really know what to say though except that it makes me sad. :'(

I feel bad for them. Only two shows in, and they're exhausted?
I'm curious to hear more opinions.

I guess I'm in the minority because their most popular songs are the ones I'd be happy to never hear them play again. I'd take The Bus Driver's Song, Jenny, the majority of the new songs (no Demon Woman plz), or Nothin' Wrong (I'd be OVER THE MOON if they played this one) over Business Time, Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenoceros, or Bowie.
I'm happy to see that Too Many Dicks was played tonight! I was a little bummed at the thought that they might not be playing it on this tour. I've got my fingers crossed I'll get to hear that one.
Sounds like the crowd didn't like Kristen too much. That really sucks. I think she's hilarious and have really been looking forward to seeing her. I hope she gets a better reaction at my shows...
I'm glad you (mostly) enjoyed yourself though!

I'm the same way but I can never get sick of seeing them play Business Time. Naturally. " title="" border="0"/>
Jenny is one of my all-time favourite Conchords song and I'm so happy they're still playing it.
I'm tired of Bowie and I wouldn't miss Robots if they never played it live again.

Blasphemy!
" title="" border="0"/> [/align:ompt6bds]
And now for a little blasphemy of my own: I looove "
Bowie"
and "
Robots,"
but I am so tired of "
Business Time"
and "
Most Beautiful Girl in the Room."
I used to like them, and I still appreciate them on principle, but I have heard them so many times that I have a difficult time listening to them anymore.

I don't care one way or another about Robots. I just want to see them in their Robo-heads.

I'm happy the robot heads have made the transition to "

Well if they keep wearing their Robot heads for Too Many Dicks I will be beyond happy.
Nikki, it's funny because two old songs that I love and always will are The Most Beautiful Girl and Business Time. Not twinsies this time!

shii, I love every single one of their songs. . so far there isn't one I've heard that I can really say I dislike. I'll be happy to hear any and all of them when I finally get to see them perform.

Oh please, oh pleeeeease to Nothin' Wrong! And I'd love to hear Demon Woman, actually. They didn't play Prostitute last night or tonight, did they? REALLY hope I get to see that...and Too Many Dicks!!blondesnotbombs wrote:cee66 wrote:Now I know that their catalog of songs have grown, quite extensively in the past two years and there is no way that they could play them all during a 90 min concert, but they should have played the most popular ones, some of which that limp crowd would have responded more enthusiastically.

The ones I'm a little jaded towards: Most Beautiful Girl, Business Time, and HvR (thanks to the lipdub contest! ). However, I'd just be so flipping excited to finally see them live that if they did Hot Cross Buns, I'd still be over the moon.
I'm excited about seeing Eugene and Arj, but wish I could see Kristen, also. She's so hilarious and adorable!

I think they played Prostitute at both shows! Didn't they? Am I imagining things already??
I'd also love to hear them do Friends. And Bret's Day, which will never happen but it doesn't hurt to dream.
