[size=100:xwdyb0r5]infamouskidd: Just about laughed my ass off at Flight of the Conchords. Good thing it's still attached, or it sure would have made pooping an adventure.

I feel the same way. But then I remember that Jemaine can sleep in almost any situation and it makes me feel a little bit better.
But a teeny bit of concern will always be there.

I just got back from the show and for the most part is was good...Here are some highlights (and some lowlights too, sorry )
The seats were not too bad after all;
I had a great view of the stage.
Jemaine was wearing the blue "
leisure inspired suite"
, with one of his denim, western style shirts (he was in denim, from head to toe). His paints were not too tight, or too loose, they fit just right (in all the right places, if you know what I mean-his ass is AMAZING in person as well). Bret was so cute, in his usual "
dress up"
ensemble;
shirt (with the rolled up sleeves), skinny tie and jeans.
Kristin was entertaining, but I would have preferred Aji (that was a tough crowd- I'll get to the details on that later) he would put some fire under that frigid group’s ass.
I loved the song they choose to open up;
“Too May Dicks”, it was fantastic, perfect for MIA. It made you want to get up and dance, it was pumping...And in true form, the boys dorked it out, with robot heads and silver jackets to match… priceless.
Big J is all the more sexy in person, WOW! Bret is cute, very endearing, but Jemaine is the crowd pleaser (especially with the ladies). You can't take your eyes off him, he’s so funny, and he doesn’t miss a beat.
There was lots and lots of laughter going on and a couple of times they forgot the lyrics in the songs, although it seemed like it was caused by exhaustion, moreso then just forgetfulness, it did put a smile on their faces and at one point Bret just stopped and laughed, it was so cute.
Okay here the lowlights (IMO)
The crowd was at their height of rudeness! Although they were well behaved, in comparison to how crowds at their previous (yelling and screaming- which was going on, but it was very minimal), they were so uninvolved that at one point Bret asked how were the people doing beyond the "
pit of fun"
(the groupies, who were up front)...It felt like a dessert were I was, void of laughter or interest...I felt awful for them.
Jemaine and Bret did seem tired, especially Jemaine. I don't think he was kidding when he whispered to Bret that he just wanted stop at that point, because he was so tired. It makes sense, given that crazy tour schedule. A different city almost every night, its madness! I guarantee they will be burned out by mid way…I know they have the new album to promote, but come on, it’s not fair to work them like that, unless it was their choice to cram it all into a short period of time, who knows.
They played all of their really LOOOONG, wordy songs (not a lowlight, I feel it wore them out, early on in the concert)...Jenny, Bus Driver, Bowie and a new one, The Stana Song . It was good, sort of their homage to the Charlie Daniels' song, “The Devil Went Down Georgia. They did not however, play the real crowd pleasers’ like HvsR, Ladies of the World or Boom Time and the crowd had to beg for Business Time, which Jemaine sort of rushed through, in a tired fashion.
The first half of the show was awesome, then it started going down hill. I felt the energy literally being sucked from the room...during the last half hour or so, it felt like they were racing against the clock to end on time, get on the bus and onto the next town.
Now I know that their catalog of songs have grown, quite extensively in the past two years and there is no way that they could play them all during a 90 min concert, but they should have played the most popular ones, some of which that limp crowd would have responded more enthusiastically.
Overall, the guys were awesome;
I loved seeing them live, worth every penny. The cellist was a nice touch, complemented their guitars, beautifully…BUT-they should have played more crowd favs, the venue was too big for them and they need more rest time between gigs, this schedule is brutal, it’s gonna burn them out.
Although the tone of this post may sound negative, I was 93.5% satisfied with the show. They’re keeping it real, to spite their rise to success…good job guys!
PS. Unfortunately, I could not stay to meet the guys;
I had to leave right after the show, early meeting tomorrow.
