I just got home and I'm pretty exhausted, but I might quick squeeze a recap before passing out.
I loved Kristen's flash dance with Jemaine. I was surprised no one was cheering when he came on stage, maybe not a lot of people realized it was him. But it was probably my favorite bit of the night.
I loved Hannibal, first time seeing him. It was great to see Demetri for the first time too finally, I discovered Demetri years before FOTC.
It was weird to see a shorter set from the guys. I know it's not there fault, they had so many acts in one night, but it was definitely different.
The didn't sing Sally. :#sadlove#:
Father and Son = :#love3#: , but before Father and Son started Bret told everyone this is a good time to get up and leave since this was one of their newer songs. :#haha#: :#fingerwave#: They had a lot of fun with the video screens for that one. They had Jem and Bret superimposed with one another so they each fit on one side of the screen. Jem made it look like he was licking the side of Bret's face and they tried to high five each other by the end of the song. "
High five, son!"
:#haha#: Also toward the beginning, when they were on the same screen, Jemaine said something like, "
Make Bret look smaller, like he were my son."
So they zoomed out to make him smaller in comparison to Jem and I could not stop laughing. :#lol#: (This would be easier to explain if I had pictures, but I'm sure you're all aware of that situation.)
There was a heckler toward the front, but Jemaine shot him down and was really grilling into him, it was awesome. "
This is why we have microphones and you don't!... Oh, what? You scared now? Did someone get shy all of a sudden??"
Someone yelled Business Time so they played it. Jemaine said something like "
You'll enjoy this song more than us"
or "
We hate this song now"
, which I can get, they've played that since forever, but it still makes me a little bit sad.
Epileptic dogs was pretty bad on the audience's part. It's one of my favorite parts of the show and not a lot of people were getting into it. I know it didn't help that not everyone was a FOTC fan there. Bret did say we were better than Pittsburgh though. Also, the few women that were singing along were imitating Bret's fake girl voice, in which Jemaine told us "
You don't have to put on a lady's voice, you already have them."
Which really made me laugh because that was exactly what I was doing. :#lol#:
There were a few times throughout the show Jemaine would get out of his seat and fake scream/rant at people off stage because they weren't doing their job. :#rofl#:
At one point they focused on one of the members of security in front of the stage going "
Don't try anything funny, we have security. Show them your moves!"
then the spot light was on him and he did a karate chop. :#haha#: Bret and Jem were like "
You don't want to mess with him!"
and the guy did another karate chop and Bret goes: "
Ok, ok, put the spot light back on us, it's our show not his."
That's all that comes to mind at the moment when it comes to FOTC set. I missed Nigel. :'( I can't remember the setlist perfectly but it went something like:
Jenny
Hurt Feelings/R vs H
F on the C
1353
Inner City Pressure
Father and Son
Business Time
Back on the Road
Dave Chappelle was pretty good. At one point his DJ fell asleep and he woke him up in front of everyone. :#haha#: Some of his long winded jokes got a little too long for me. And he complained about Hartford a lot.

Nobody cheered in Pittsburgh either and I was shocked. I, of course, was looking for Jemaine as soon as the music started. :#haha#:

I didn't get to hear it either. SADNESS.

In Pittsburgh, Bret asked them to make him look younger like a small child. When they shrunk him on the screen and tiny Bret was sitting next to huge Jemaine I was dying. :#rofl#: They had way too much fun with those screens.

They did this in Tixas and I told Ami that it reminded me of:blondesnotbombs wrote:onlyalways wrote:Also toward the beginning, when they were on the same screen, Jemaine said something like, "
