By Drew Millward for the London 18th May Wembley Arena gig:

I was also asked to do a poster for the upcoming show that Flight of the Conchords are doing at Wembley. I think it’s certainly the biggest venue i’ve ever produced a poster for.

It was fun to do.

They will be available at the show, if you are lucky enough to be going along, and from afterwards.

I like his posters (and they do look great in person) but he's got a very specific style to what he does. I can see where it would put some people off.

I'm really fond of his London one - I'm in love with the colour scheme, and all the objects surrounding the guys are adorable

looks to me like bret's throwing some horns there, a la metal bands... and jemaine is signalling "
ok"
(though, in brazil, that means eff you, fyi )

the whole thing looks to me like they're falling down the rabbit hole, surrounded by the debris they have collected/created with their songs (notice the robot at the lower right that has "
kill"
written on its chest )

i think it's whimsical and different - i probably would have liked it to be more colorful, but i'm' assuming the artist is going for a folksy-feel here?

is this the same artist that did the "
where the wild things are"
posters for the US tour last year?

Agreed. I wasn't a huge fan of the posters he did last year but I like this one.

Yes, it is. And those were two of my favorites from the tour.

I checked his other posters, not the Conchords' but the ones he did for other bands and they have definitely [url=mudras][/url] in them and Eye-in-Hand. Good thing he didn't draw an eye in Bret's hand. :

Anyway, to ease my pain I found other meanings of these gestures plus I can suggest some more useful signs:

Yep, I completely agree- those are definitely mudras. The way Bret's palm is facing out is how gods are depicted in Hindu art when they are bestowing a blessing, and Jemaine's hand gesture is used to show a god's wisdom. The rock gesture ( ) Bret is giving is also a mudra, but its meaning can change depending on the surrounding items.

Not sure if that's what the artist was going for, but it can certainly be interpreted that way...
