I don't see any problem in the rain. You can always have a group shower and then you can say you had a shower with FotC .

What time are you guys planning on arriving? And is anyone planning on staying afterwards for a meet and greet? I haven't kept up with the European tour so I don't know if they are doing them, and I kinda would like to avoid a repeat of last year if possible " title="" border="0"/>

The guys were in top form and the audience was great.


Met Bret, Jemaine, and Eugene. Got pics of them with my conjoined sock monkey. Embarrassingly, I freaked out completely when I met Bret. But I was normal for Eugene and Jemaine (who were absolute dolls ... as was Bret).


Conchords fans are the sweetest.


More later ... just got home and have to pack for L.A., which I would have done by now if I wasn't such an irresponsible bastard girl.

Okay, ummmmmmmmmmm

NO idea where to start and it's late but I will say amazing amazing amazing show.

The only thing I can come up with is that yes, the guys were on fire tonight. Everything was so perfect, the interaction with the audience, the banter the song choices. AHHHHHHH! When you think it's impossible to love them any more they totally prove that it's completely possible.

Like Nik said we met Bret, Jemaine and Eugene though it was rather rushed but sooooooooooooo appreciated. They're the kindest most thoughtful and sweet guys.

Have a lot of videos and a few pictures to share but they will have to wait until another time as it's after 2am here and we have to be up at 8. Can't guarantee a great recap as I suck at them but I will try. " title="" border="0"/>

Okay ... if I wait until I have enough time to post a full recap, I'll forget everything, so I'm scrapping that plan and just going with highlights. Frankly, I'm already starting to forget details.



THE SHOW

- I screamed from start to finish (apologies to Sara and my vocal cords).

- The crowd was incredibly responsive without being assholish. All of the songs went over really well.

- I could listen to their crazy band stories for hours.

- As soon as they brought out the leather jacket, I knew what was coming. I loved the video (puppy!!!) and Bret's adorable dancing.

- The new verses made an incredible song even better.

- Can anyone remember the song they had us do the call and response for?? I remember them saying we handled it really well. If it turns out to be "

... which I just mentioned ... I'll be embarrassed to have forgotten this but happy to have the answer.

- It was my first time hearing "
Inner City Pressure"
and "
Boom"
live, and it was so worth the wait, especially for the boom dancing.

- They did "
I Like to Rock the Party."

- I noticed Bret checking his watch repeatedly toward the end, and I wondered if time constraints were the reason why we didn't get "
Sugalumps."
Even though I would have loved to see it, its absence didn't diminish the concert in any way. The weather was perfect, the band was creative and in excellent spirit, and the crowd was festive. Really a perfect show.




AFTER THE SHOW


- There were roughly a dozen fans waiting outside.

- Bret came out first, but he was in a hurry so he just did a quick run through with signings, pics, and hugs. I was completely freaked out by his presence. He's so gorgeous and sweet and perfect. Sometime during the blur of my panic, I got a hug from him (I think Sara asked him to do this ... Courtney was also helpful in keeping me from fleeing ... I think she introduced us ... I was seriously intimidated! " title="" border="0"/> " title="" border="0"/> " title="" border="0"/> )

- Saw Nigel from afar and shouted, "
We like you, Nigel!"
But apart from that, I didn't speak with him.

- Saw Eugene and wanted to talk to him so badly, but he was having a conversation with someone and I didn't want to interrupt. I kept waiting for him to come over, and I was afraid I'd miss my chance. Just then ...

- Jemaine came over. After he met a couple fans, he wasn't sure what to do next, so I walked over and told him I love Eugene and wanted to meet him but I didn't want to be rude and interrupt his conversation. Jemaine offered to call Eugene over, and I told him I wanted to meet him (Jemaine) too ... I only mentioned it to him because Eugene had been standing over there for awhile and I wasn't sure if he wanted to meet fans. So Jemaine called Eugene over and then went to greet more people.

- I told Eugene I love him and asked him for a picture with my sock monkey. He told me it was the weirdest toy anyone had ever handed him.



- Then Jemaine and I were talking again. I introduced myself and he mentioned that he remembered me, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get a new pic with my sock monkeys.

- Eugene was rushing Jemaine along, so I thanked them both for being so kind. Eugene responded that Jemaine was a really nice guy.

- All of the fans were incredibly awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing them again in L.A.
