I think it ended right about 10pm. We were back in the garage a few minutes after 10 and home by 11pm.
You're probably right. Thanks for correcting me. I was over estimating to be safe.

[size=100:wf6u31ce]Everyone's favorite New Zealand acoustic-comedy duo, Flight of the Conchords, came to Constitution Hall last night. Kyle Gustafson was there to take some pictures. You can some below, along with my idea on how the evening went. (Note: I've seen 1.5 episodes ever.)
Jemaine says, "
Oh, right, there are two of us! Let me bring that other guy out."
"
There's that other guy! But wouldn't this be more fun if we were robots instead?"
"
Yep, dressing up as robots is definitely fun. But I bet playing a little keyboard is even better."
"
Little keyboard, you complete me."
(Clearly, there's a reason why I haven't been given my own HBO show. Yet.)

No worries!
A collection of clips from the show. It's a bit far back but you can relive the moment when Bret was in your face ;

Did anyone see the photographer dude at the show the other night? He had a "
Too Many Dicks"
shirt on with a giant orange post-it note that said "
Flight of the Conchords photos"
and maybe some other stuff. My friends understood him to say that he was with the band. He got a pic of us with our shirts, so that's why I was curious.

That's exciting! I wonder if they're going to put some kind of tour supplement on the season 2 DVD!talkkiwitome wrote:Did anyone see the photographer dude at the show the other night? He had a "

source:[size=133:07mo8208]Recap: Flight of the Conchords at DAR Constitution Hall
The New Zealand musical duo explore life outsite their TV world
by Maura Judkis April 14, 2009
[size=100:07mo8208]Flight Of The Conchords, New Zealand's self-proclaimed “fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo a cappella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo,” aren't much of a draw in their titular TV series. In the real world, however, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement don't have any problems packing the house at large venues—and last night's characteristically amusing performance at DAR Constitution Hall was no exception.
Squeaky comedienne Kristen Schaal—best known for her role in Flight Of The Conchords as Mel, the band’s biggest (and only) fan—warmed up the crowd with the admission that she had prepared for the touring life by watching Rock Of Love Bus With Brett Michaels. “I wondered: How many times are we going to have to get out and mud-wrestle in front of some truckers?” she chirped innocently, before confiding: “It’s been two times now.”
Two seasons' worth of TV fame haven't changed Clement and McKenzie, who hit the stage in homemade robot costumes, opening with “Too Many Dicks On The Dance Floor.” They later announced that they were proud to be backed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra—a funny enough honor, as the so-called NZSO turned out to be a solitary bass player named Nigel. Between the two, Clement proved to be more of a comedian and McKenzie more of a musician, but their shared ability to stay in caricature illustrates why they’ve earned such an eager cult following.
In addition to their acoustic guitars (and Nigel, of course), McKenzie played drums and a toy piano, while Clement took on the brunt of between-song banter along with xylophone and steel drum duties for “You Don’t Have To Be A Prostitute.” With their usual combination of bravado and insecurity, they swept through familiar hits from the show, but audience members eventually grew impatient. After several over-enthused attendees shouted specific song requests, the duo deviated from their set list for crowd favorites like “Business Time,” “Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenoceros,” and “If You’re Into It.” Like their performances on the show, the whole gig took on the ad-libbed qualities of one giant rehearsal—or even one of the infamously awkward band meetings as familiar cries of "
present!"
could be heard from the upper levels of the DAR.
Although, there is such a thing as too much audience participation. After straying too far from the set list, McKenzie and Clement struggled to regain control. “Democracy doesn’t always work, Washington,” Clement chided the audience before adding with mock seriousness: “We haven’t even heard of your stupid ‘Freebird!' We don’t know that band.”

source:[size=133:fzftbuhg]Flight of the Conchords rock the folk at Constitution Hall
[size=100:fzftbuhg]Flight of the Conchords, New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo a cappella-rap-funk-comedy-folk duo and stars of the hit HBO show of the same name, brought their quirky brand of comedy rock to DAR Constitution Hall on April 13.
Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie entered the stage in full robot costumes and began their set with “Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor”—their techno track about awful girl/guy ratio at nightclubs. Shortly after the overly-rambunctious audience began to yell out song requests, and the band obliged to some including “Business Time” (the ode to married people’s sex, which only happens on Wednesdays because there’s nothing good on TV). It was clear the guys were at times flustered, but played it off with their trademark deadpan humor, with Jemaine quipping, “Shut up drunk lawyers of Washington, D.C. This is not request night.”
Bret and Jemaine played rhythm and bass guitars respectively and took turns at the spinet mini-piano in “Hurt Feelings,” as well as drums, steelpan and bongos. Jemaine ad-libbed in “Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenoceros” (“My rhymes are so potent that I made all of the ladies in the first three rows pregnant. Congratulations ladies!”) And the show culminated with a slow-jam version of “Sugalumps”--Bret and Jemaine dropping their guitars and doing a silly dance, trying their best to flaunt their backside and family jewels.
Quirky co-star Kirsten Schaal was the opener, and Nigel—apparently the sole member of New Zealand’s philharmonic and symphony orchestras—played cello.
