Bret apparently was sick i'm sure he didn't want to go out in the rain for fear of getting MORE sick.

i am both amused and annoyed by that guy.

on the one hand i would have been pissed off that he would run across the stage just so he could get his 10 seconds of pseudo fame but on the other, i would have laughed.

i'm glad those security guards did their thing.

i once saw a crazed shakira fan jump the stage and try to start dancing with her. wyclef was also performing with her onstage, and he tried to get between the crazy girl and shakira... it took FIVE HUGE guards to drag the girl offstage. FIVE. i don't know how these people are made, but they sure are scary .

awww how do people get so luck to meet them backstage... or any band for that matter. its always who you know I suppose.. :*(

Some fans were told by Kristen that Bret still wasn't feeling up to snuff hence no meety/greety last night. My fingers are crossed for tonight though.

Thanks for the pics and updates guys! Can't believe a dude ran on to the stage! Ah it really is a shame they didn't do a meet and greet but hopefully Bret will make a speedy recovery and the weather improves if those are the main reasons.

OK - I have slept now! haha, here's what I can remember from the show...

Radio City is awesome, first off. If you want my HONEST opinion, it seemed like it was too big of a venue for them to really feel comfortable, but the lighting and effects were great.

The opening was so funny - stage goes dark, they come out in their robot suits... and noting happens (technical problems!) then you hear Jemaine's robot voice say "
one moment please"
and Bret says "
yes, it's plugged in... mother 'ucker"
hilarious!

I didn't feel like there was a whole lot of banter, I guess it's possible Bret still isn't feeling well? I had really bad seats, so I couldn't tell. They really played a good part of Freebird! The audience was well behaved, and any yelling from the crowd I felt was almost provoked with long periods of silence.

Jemaine also said "
Yeah, we played a really awful gig last night in DC, and this is the same setlist, I hope it's not cursed"
- I couldn't tell if he was serious!

Yeah, that guy totally ran across the stage during Bowie! I actually thought it was funny and they guys laughed after he was tackled by security, but they never mentioned it.

I think that was it! I posted the story about waiting around, there were actually a lot of people there. I'm not sure if anyone caught them at the door they actually came out of? We were all waiting at the stage door, since the other side is just administrative offices. I talked to Kristen briefly - Irene, you have to send her your last name so she can send you stuff in the mail! She asked me and I didn't know LOL :-[

I got a really cool original poster that I can take a picture of later and the magnets!

Now comes the dilemma! I could go back tonight after the show and wait around, but it's still really cold and wet and I have to work a 15 hour day tomorrow OR I could just wait until Saturday in Philly (supposed to be a beautiful day!) and take my chances for a healthy Bret after the late set! decisions decisions...

My guess is that if the weather is bad and Bret wasn't feeling up to a m/g last night, that there probably won't be one tonight either. I would hedge my bets for the Philly show when the weather is supposed to be nice and Bret has had more time to recover...?

Just me...

It is a tough call considering the meety/greety isn't a sure thing. Crappy weather is supposed to clear by mid day though so if they don't do it tonight weather won't be the reason.

I have a good feeling for Philly though. 70 degrees and by then Little B should be feeling better (fingers crossed)

Hmm it's a tough one but a meet and greet does seem more likely on Saturday in Philly because hopefully Bret would have made a good recovery and the weather is expected to be better.

That makes me sad he said that. I thought the show was great. :'(
