i know a girl from the nin forums that is going to this show tonite. she's super sweet! i told her that if she wanted to squee she was certainly welcome to come over here and tell us about her night. hopefully we'll see her 'round these parts later on.

she did at least say that she'd tell me all about it. so, even if we don't see her here, perhaps she'll allow me to share her story anyway.

Awww... I hope she does sin. We need more reporters out there.

Congrats, Sara!!! I am working through details to come to Vegas. It is still 50-50 for me.

I hope the show tonight, is great for Jemaine and Bret, and all the fans!!!!!!

the proposal guy was wearing some cool shoes

the show was wonderful!!!

we had great seats and it was in my hometown which is without a doubt the oasis of indiana, if not the oasis of the midwest. so this made it even better.

eugene was absolutely hilarious. i actually enjoyed him better than kristen. he handed out some angry postcards to mail to delta airlines. i'll try to scan one and post it.

the guys were amazing as usual. for some reason i feel like they were more uninhibited at this show than any of the other shows i've been too. perhaps it's because it's little 500 weekend here and about 90% of the people are drunk. who knows? i really really enjoyed their banter at this show. it was very interactive with the crowd. at one point they had the house lights turned on to shame a women that was filming. very different dynamic than before. as for the songs, the ones are can remember were:
stana, hurt feelings, too many dicks, sugalumps (which they got VERY into...bret even went into the crowd and jumped onto a woman's seat and put his sugalumps in her face. i have pictures to post later), muthuckas, pencils in the wind, bowie, jenny, demon woman, think about it, and epileptic dog. there were a few more i think but i can't remember at the moment.

the proposal was absolutely adorable. their sound guy, mark or matt?, is an IU alum and during pencils in the wind, their last song, bret was doing his thing where he talks about how love is the strongest adhesive and he said that their sound guy knew something about love, why don't they bring him out, so they did of course and then he said that he was with a wonderful woman and could she please come out, and then he got down on one knee and proposed. she cried, the crowd went crazy, it was wonderful. she had friends in the crowd that i saw her talking to later so it was a great place to do it. playing epileptic dog song was totally random. they were talking about issues before playing think about it and someone in the crowd screamed "
epileptic dogs!"
and jemaine said "
come on bret, you know you want to play epileptic dogs"
, so they did. they even had strobe lights and did their dancing. the show was really just absolutely wonderful.

the show ended around 10 and we really only had to wait about an hour for the guys to come out. about a half an hour after the show eugene came out and i got to meet him. he was really, really sweet. anyways, the line was pretty long, but they met with everybody. we met jemaine first and as soon as he saw me he looked at me and said "
you. i know you."
i seriously almost passed out lol. then my mom kind of butted in and said that she had something for him. she gave him his fan art and we got our pictures and talked for a minute. he's quite smiley in my picture i might add . then we met bret and he recognized me as well and then afterward looked at my mom and said "
you're the bead lady!"
. then she gave him his fan art and chatted for a moment with us, and then we got pictures.

it was an absolutely glorious, glorious night .

unfortunately i just packed up all my stuff to go home from college so i can't post my pictures just yet but they'll be on soon.
