Agreed.
Period.
Like we could ever get enough of people talking about Bret and Jemaine.
Sounds like a good idea Nik

I fail at concise recaps. I'm breaking this one up into two.
Show:
We dropped Liz and Talene off at the Denver airport and left from there at 8:00am. The drive was supposed to be about 8 hours long, but we didn’t get to the SLC house until about 5:30pm. This was without stopping for lunch, so we were starving, but none of us had even showered yet, and we had to leave by 6:30 at the latest since the hall was about 40 min. away and we had to pick up our tickets. 13 people + 3 showers + 1 hour = madness! Needless to say, we didn't do anything about dinner.
Anyway, we made it. Most of the seats were on ’s side except for two that were on ’s, and one third row center. Laura and I sat next to each other again so we could hold up ’s signs, and we were a little closer to the middle in hopes that they’d actually see them. I couldn’t believe how close we were to the stage! Jess was on the other side of me, and she kept putting her feet against the wall of the stage….that’s how close we were!
Arj had some extra material, so his bit wasn’t exactly like it was in Denver. He promised some new stuff for Jess! He definitely saw us with our bandanas this time.
Too Many Dicks will never get old, especially live. I love how into it they get with the dancing. After the second song (Hurt Feelings), Nikki put one of the flowers on the edge of the stage while Bret and Jemaine were talking professionally. They noticed right away and Jemaine walked over and got it! Nikki put the other flower on the stage after they said something about getting more flowers. They seemed to enjoy this, and it sounded like Jemaine was thinking they should play Sexy Flower, but then Bret didn’t seem to want to. Jemaine put them on the bongos, and then they played Most Beautiful Girl with the flowers dancing. Jemaine turned them off afterwards to save batteries. During Stana, Bret almost repeated a verse, but Jemaine quickly interrupted him. HAHA. I love how they recover from things like that.
When it sounded like they were going to bring Nigel out, Laura and I got our signs ready. Then when they introduced him, we held them up as high as we could without standing. Jemaine looked directly at us, and when the clapping/screaming subsided (and after we had put the signs down), he said, “I saw some signs over there.” We got all excited and held them back up. He read them, “’We love Nigel’ and the N also spells out NZSO.” We flipped them over so the audience could see. Jemaine then said that it seemed like there were some people there that seemed to be enjoying the show a little more than others (which of course garnered many Flighty s), and then he said something about us being crazy and did this: (but w/ his right hand) HAHA.
We got super excited when they started playing Same Girl because that meant Sugalumps was next. After they got up during Sugalumps, they danced at the center of the stage and then went to their respective sides. Bret walked over to our side, looked right at me, stuck out his hand and beckoned me to take it. Eeeeeeeep! Everyone around me was like, “Do it! Do it!” so I got up and grabbed his hand even though I was nervous. He tried to get me to come up higher, but the stage was really high and I am really shy. Jess and Laura (I think) then grabbed my legs and tried pushing me up there. They were unsuccessful though, and I sat back down. He then tried to get Laura to do it, but she was too shy, so Jess then successfully reached for his sugalumps so he could call for security. Jemaine came over and stuck his head between Bret’s legs and pointed at his crotch right in front of us. They then went over to the other side of the stage. [sorry...I know I've told this part before, but my recap would be incomplete without it! ]
They did one encore, but played four songs. We thought that they were changing into the Demon Woman outfits because it was taking them a while to come back out, but it turned out that Bret had to pee because he “was bustin’”. They then talked about how poorly the hall was laid out because anyone sitting in the middle of a row would have a really hard time getting up to go to the bathroom. Jemaine made water sounds and poured water on the stage to tease people who “were bustin’”. He also said they were having a water drinking competition and that he was winning.
Oh yeah, I had made Petrov signs before the Austin show and brought them with me. Jess and Tim helped me hold them up when they were taking requests. We could tell Bret saw them, but he didn’t acknowledge them, so he must have not wanted to play it. That’s ok…we got Bus Driver instead!
Laura and I kept noticing all of them looking over at our group (especially Nigel!) throughout the show, and after the last encore, Jemaine stopped in front of us, half-kneeled down and flicked his guitar pick right at us!!! We looked for it after the house lights came on, but couldn’t find it. It probably flew past us and someone else caught it.
Anyway, I have to say that their shirts for this show were my favorite so far. They said they went shopping at a western place and they all looked amazing. Also, there was a LOT of banter. Way more than Denver (and Austin). They seemed to really like the SLC crowd! I'm sad because I can't really remember all of it.

Meet and Greet:
After we got to the lobby, we waited in the unmoving merch table line (more like a mob), but then went over to Arj. A bunch of us got group Flighty photos with him! He was really nice to us.
When we all cleared out of there, we went to the side alley where the tour bus was. Steel barricades were set up, which was a good sign! The crowd was also small like the Denver one, but we stuck around the back since we were probably going to take a long time with all the gifts.
Jemaine came out ( ), but Bret didn’t. ( ) The first thing he did was come out around the fence. He picked up a guy who I think was taller than him, and it was so cute and funny! It was so great seeing him interact with the crowd. I had never met either of them before, so I’ve really only seen pictures of this. He seemed really happy and friendly, and I was too hungry and tired to be nervous. When he got over to us, we showed him the quilt. He really liked it!! He seemed genuinely impressed and appreciative.
Um, here's Nikki's video again:
He asked, “Do you want me to give this to Bret, or…” and I said that that would be great, but now I wonder what he would have said if I said, “or…?” Probably just wanted to know if we wanted to give it to him at another show. I asked if he wanted to see it, but he said that he’d see it when he showed it to Bret.
When it was my turn to meet Jemaine, he looked at me and said, “Ah! You went to some shows last tour, right?” but I hadn’t! He must have recognized my face from myspace. I then said, “Nope. I’m the one that made the Jem-o-lantern!” He then laughed and I got a picture with him and he signed my FTW CD. A few minutes later, we were all gathering up our stuff, and when I picked up my poster, he immediately asked, “Oh, do you want me to sign that? Or I might mess it up?” Aww! Of course I wanted him to sign it, but hadn’t asked because I didn’t want to seem annoying getting multiple things signed. He was SO nice (and sixy) in person! I’ve always heard that, but it’s just so great to experience his kindness (and sixiness) myself.
Nigel also came out, and Katie gave him our gift to him which was a t-shirt with a neck tie printed on. He really liked it, but didn’t stick around too long. However, after Jemaine left, Nigel came back! We went up to him and Laura and I asked for a picture with him and the signs. He of course obliged. I then remembered that I was going to ask him about the bow he used for the Masterton show since it didn’t look like a standard cello bow. He said it was made in Indonesia and that it was his sister’s. He also said that it was his usual bow, but that he left it at home because he didn’t want anything to happen to it. I asked how it compared to normal bows and he said that it produced a more reedy sound. *nerd moment* Then I said that I noticed his cello case and knew what kind it was (kind of dumb and unnecessary of me ). He said that he doesn’t usually use one at home because he doesn’t really take his cello places. Before we left, he saw my FTW CD and said, “Oh, wow! That’s really old.” I’m not sure what was said after that by either of us, but I do remember saying that I really loved the new bit in Bus Driver with him and Jemaine harmonizing.
So yeah….amazing night. I'm so thankful that Jemaine and Nigel came out. I'm sad that Bret didn't , but at least we know he got his gifts. I really wish I had written everything down right when we got back from the show, but I suppose this is long enough as it is.
ADD: Will hopefully post photos tomorrow!

I took two short little videos (sorry, ! ) of the flower shenanigans:
Now I wish I had just recorded that whole bit (there was more to it), but I was nervous about filming.

Actually, the t-shirt is from everyone. I'm hoping we'll see him in it! It looked kind of like he was wearing it at the San Diego show, but I think it might have been a bird on his shirt. Not too many photos from that show yet...Venus wrote:... That t-shirt you got Nigel is awesome and Jemaine's so sweet for signing all your stuff and spending time with you guys. ...

Nice! I'll be on the look out for photos of him wearing it then. I mean it's too good not to wear plus it has that added flighty love. I seem to recall Nigel wearing something sent in by fans the following night at a concert so it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up wearing the t-shirt soon if he hasn't already

I made a big mistake the other day and all my Denver/SLC pics got removed from Flickr. I apologize for that. It will take forever to put all my pic posts right, so I am just going to give a link to my Flickr page for folks to get anything they want. I just re-uploaded them and you can get them at
I will post this in the SLC thread as well. Sorry for the hassle

Also, I tried taping Jenny (someone was asking about it) but I wasn't looking through the viewfinder as an usher was sort of near. It ended up being the ceiling (lame) and the usher approached our seats, so I had to cut it short. I'm hoping someone else out there got it all.

I read somewhere that that guy asked Jemaine if he could pick him up and Jemaine said no. You can sort of hear that convo in the video.

The girl who took these was sitting right beside me. I wasn't sure if she was filming or taking pictures because well... I wasn't really looking at her. So happy to have found these as I've been hoping ever since that she'd eventually post her footage somewhere for me to see.
