May 29 - San Francisco CA (Davies Hall)

I hope I don't get in trouble for starting this thread so far ahead of time, but I have a good reason!

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this here yet, but my bf and I have front row (yes, you read that correctly) tickets for their 2nd SF show.  I lucked out completely ... I was the first person to buy tickets during the fan pre-sale.

I've never been so excited about anything, and I don't want to waste my chance.  Please help me, guys! Should I make a sign?  Should I make something else?  The show isn't until the end of May, so it's early enough for me to start working on something awesome.   Any ideas?   <img src="http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif" alt="" title="" border="0"/>

i'm mega jealous of your front row score!! i think a sign would be fantastic!! they'll for sure see it given your seats!!

you could also make a shirt like many of the rest of us! i'm personally not that creative, but i'm sure some of the other flighties will have great ideas for you!!

Haha no worries about making an early thread.. it's never too early to get excited about an FOTC show. We encourage our members to participate and contribute as much as they want.

I have no ideas at the moment but I definitely think you should make a sign or something. If I think of anything clever I'll be sure to tell you about it.

hey, so i'm glad you started this thread! i was actually wondering how many flighties were going to be attending the san fran show on the 29th at davies hall? i'm trying to get tickets and i probably will be a maybe until the night before the show, but i wanted to know if anyone would be willing to pick me and my roommate up from Davis (1 1/2 hours away from san fran) and bring us back that day? i know its a lot to ask of you guys and i feel really bad asking. we will definitely pay for gas, no worries on that. and if you feel like we might be late for the show because you have to drive ~2 hours out of your way to pick us up, you should know we are free to be picked up all day! lol. thanks for listening to me ramble on...i mean, i dont even have tickets yet...so who knows. but your gratitude would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm going to both the Nob Hill and the Davies Hall show, but I'm afraid I don't have a car.

i'm going to the nob hill show, but my friend and i are also traveling from davis. we're going to take the davis-berkeley shuttle there.

it's only $7 and then you could take bart for another $3.40 [you don't even have to take muni! just get off at civic center and walk to davies ]

but how are you getting back to Davis? doesn't the shuttle only go twice a day?

that's true...but i mean if you do take the shuttle you'd only need a ride back...instead of a ride to and from.

do you have any friends at berkeley who you can stay with overnight? then you'd be able to take the morning shuttle the next day

no...plus i have to be back before 10 on friday morning. but it was good idea...i'll see if i can get someone i know with a car here to take us...lol...

yay!!! so i talked to my amazing friend and he is letting us borrow his car for the night!!! omg i am so HAPPY!!
now all i need are the tickets! lol...but i have faith...i think we'll get them...i hope...lol
i will pray to the sex god known as Jemaine for luck! lol

but this brings me to another point. now that im half way there to see them, i was thinking about a gift and Ashley Marie gave me the idea (although, Ashley Marie, if you dont want me to, i wont) of making a stuffed animal. i was thinking of just making one of Albie. yes? and have him hold one of those plastic easter eggs painted all the colors of the rainbow...now i may be getting ahead of myself but what if i asked all the flighties to write a little something to them. only about a sentence long and then i'll print them out and cut them into strips and put it in the egg...what do you guys think???

oh yay! i'm so glad everything worked out for you! i'm sure you'll get tickets too. i think once the date comes closer, scalpers and anyone selling tickets will start getting desperate.
