Flight ot the Conchords

Tonight at work while I was checking peoples bags, then a guy came up to me who looked exactly like one of the guys from Flight of the Conchords (if you don't know what that is...then it is these 2 comedians from New Zealand who have a TV show). Anyways...after he gave me a New Zealand passport and I realized that the item he was checking was a guitar I thought there was a chance he might actually be the same guy. After confirming the name with wikipedia I found out that it actually was Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords...I thought it was pretty exciting."

Haha! I pretty much always fly Alaskan Airlines, but I haven't run into a Conchord yet. .

Cool story but the really luck is with whoever gets to sit near him on the plane.

I think that would be the one and only time I would be happy that the seats on planes are too small and tightly packed. All smushed up close to him....damn, he'd probably be in first class though. Rats! Foiled at every turn!

alright. here's how goony i am. i recently flew new zealand air to england for a conference (got the tix before watching the show - the airline was recommended to me by a prof, and he was right - great service - i highly recommend them! also, 4 eps of FOTC + 1 of the Mighty Boosh in their entertainment center!!). The entire trip there and the entire trip back I seriously thought, "
wouldn't it be oooosome if the guys happened to be on this flight - if they had taken off for england, randomly, for a summer break. and what if they decided NOT to fly first class, and actually ended up right next to me? You can imagine what these thoughts did to me. I'm such a goony fan girl. Alas, they stayed in L.A. while I was gone. But, like I said, Air New Zealand = great airline.

Patton Oswalt also flew with Alaskan Airlines to Seattle this past weekend (he did a bit about it at the comedy show).. I'm assuming Sub Pop booked all of the artists with Alaskan. It's good information to find out. ;
)

I have an online buddy who lives in Hong Kong and she flies NZ Air when she goes home to the UK. She says they are always great and the last time she flew they showed the entire FOTC series. I entered the contest for a trip to NZ on their website. I hope I win! LOL.
