Posting Images/Avatars

The best way to post an Image or Avatar is to get something like Photobucket or Flickr. I use photo bucket, it is so simple.

1. You upload the pics to your photobucket or any other image uploading website. This will generate the codes needed.

2. For pictures use the IMG code ([IMG...)

3. For avatars use the Direct Link/url (http://i22...)

4. Copy the code and paste it in your post or profile!

Just thought I should add that posting a banner is the same as posting an image.. you need to put the code in the signature part of your profile.

Is there a certain size these should be?? because I have copy and pasted the url from the are in the web address from flickr and it didn't add it for me...I have done this before and it's worked...what am I doing wrong??

Looks like you got this figured out but I thought I'd post anyway.. all avatars must be a maximum of 100x100.

They can be smaller but if they're bigger than 100x100 they'll look distorted and unproportional.

It'sprobably me but I'm having trouble putting a picture IMG code into my profile. Please help.

Where in your profile are you trying to put it?

In the space for avatars I'm not sure if that's right this is the first time i've been on a message board

Stephanie told me to enter in my password and then paste the IMG code into the avatar url. that's where i pasted it before but didn't enter my password. so i tried it but it still didn't work.

For avatars you don't need the [IMG] code... just the direct URL. Also, make sure that your avatar is no bigger than 100x100 if it's any bigger it will look dsitorted. Make sure you set the size to 100x100 in your profile also or it will only show up 65x65.
