I was waiting for your reaction. Now I'm waiting for Ami's.
If this happens at our shows, I will be the happiest girl on the planet. DO YOU HEAR THAT, JEMAINE? It's that easy to make me happy.

)Bret and Nigel also sported mod, psych rockwear--but to be hoenst, I was so dazzled by Jem that all I can recall about Bret was tight jeans and a graphic tee.)
(And tonight Jem was in the audience for Sugalumps--a lot of thrusting and posing. That song is going to be a strip tease by the end of the your, I swear...)
Please say this was well documented. [/align:288zuoje]

Was that some sort of tribute to cheese? Dear God, can't wait for the pix. Like a different poster in each town, you guys get that. Brilliant.

I keep accidentially reading that as "
pubic hair on display."
I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY.

Anyone catch what bar the boys said they went to on Friday night? I know they went to the Safe House first, then what sounded like Shaker's? Shakey's? I have to wonder what kind of neighborhood it was in to ahve a bar brawl w/ 18 people in it going on outside!!
There wasn't a lot of "
fresh"
banter last night;
qutie a few of the bits I've read here before--still funny, but nothing very Milwaukee-centric. I believe it was during the opening of "
I told You I was Freaky"
that Jemaine was trying to join Bret in the intro, but couldn't find the key, and asked Bret to tell him what it was. Bret was apparently very into the zone and kinda ignoring Jemaine's request, which made Jem laugh. Fianlly, he got thru to Bret and he told J the notes, as well as "
for the rest of us w/ insturments in the audience that might like to play along."
Heckling wasn't too bad;
there was some asshole in the back that started the "
I Love you Jemaine"
vs. "
I love Bret"
tally, then kept a fixation with Bret's hair helmet. He shouted something else out and Bret reported back he heard "
I have to go now!"
which seemed to help the man realize he was annoying the guys and he was fairly silent after that.

source:Recap: Flight Of The Conchords at Riverside Theater
Local ladies drink in the comedy duo's "
Sugalumps"
When you see Flight Of The Conchords live and in person, you realize that Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement really are skilled musicians and songwriters, aping musical genres cleverly and without discrimination. You forget that they’re supposed to be woefully inept rock star wannabes. Without the magic of television, it would be hard to sit through nearly two hours of their songs if that were not the case.
The 7 p.m. Saturday show at The Riverside Theater opened with McKenzie and Clement dressed in low-budget, cardboard robot costumes, performing the high-energy “Too Many Dicks On The Dance Floor.” That was it for theatrics until the encore, when the pair came back dressed in shiny Spandex for the psychedelic rock tune “Demon Woman.” In between, it was just the two of them—well, and cellist Nigel, who was introduced as The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra—playing a mix of standouts from their back catalog, including “Most Beautiful Girl” and “Bowie,” and the newer cowboy yarn, “The Ballad Of Stana”—about a guy so bad he broke every law, including the law of physics. (“He would occupy the same physical space as another solid object. He didn’t give a shii.”) They capped the loose, intimate night by climbing off the stage and adopting spread-legged stances for “Sugalumps,” a song about how all the ladies like to get a peek at their packages. (“They look so good, that’s why I keep them in the front.”)
Having heard horror stories about the audience’s non-stop heckling during last year’s Flight Of The Conchords’ show at the Riverside, I prepared myself for the worst. Happily, it never got that bad;
shouts of “I love you Jemaine!” and “I love you Brett!” were as annoying as it got. Truth is, Milwaukee isn’t the only town with idiots who can’t shut up, and McKenzie and Clement have learned to handle it smoothly. “Why don’t you write us notes?” Clement suggested at one point. “You can use as many exclamation marks as you’d like.”
Opener Eugene Mirman, on the other hand, had to deal with lots of yakking through much of his 30 minute set. It was tough at times to focus on Mirman, but he still got laughs. (The biggest was from his declaration that “religion is not a leap of faith—it’s high-functioning autism.”) By the time he went into his hilarious diatribe against Delta Airlines, even passing out postcards for the audience to mail in to the company, the room had settled—and then it was over. If there was anything wrong with the evening, it was Mirman's short set, and that’s hardly a complaint at all.

I discovered what hooligans the guys and Eugene saw brawling outside the bar--on the East Side a group of anarchists...wait for it...dressed as ninjas, were running around vandalizing things and generally being crazy.
Or who knows, perhaps it was an elaborate tribute to "
Tongan Ninja."

So, I know I'm a bit behind the times here. but I wanted to post a couple things from that night. .
Our Inner City Pressure...
This was as close as we got to them.. :#loveeyes#:
Me:
My wingman:
Shortly after we took these, a guy got off the tan bus who we now know as Nigel. :#sadd#: LOL By then we were near the front door of Moe's Irish Pub where we joined the 2 other people who were going with us. We proceeded to get pretty tipsy and that was only compounded by the mixed drink that woman made us in the downstairs bar.. We asked for a Yager Bomb and got what was 90 parts yager and 10 part bomb. LOL!!!
Yager is danger.
:#rofl#: :#rofl#:
I took in my camera and got this:
https://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/D ... reekie.flv
Actually I got a whole lot more videos but they're mostly wrecked by my loud drunken screaming and laughing. LOL Yis. I was THAT girl...
